John Soron - CEO & Founder

Mr. Soron is a serial entrepreneur and has served as President of three technology companies in the local area. In the 80's he led separate startup companies that focused on Industrial Solar Power and Geothermal Energy. His subsequent venture was Robotics Inc which he bought from venture capitalists in 1990 and sold in 2005. Robotics Inc was an equipment manufacturer that provided sophisticated industrial automation machinery and products to major US industries.
His current focus is development of Tech Valley Technologies, a company that has patented products in targeting systems and combat training for the military and local law enforcement. The company has current contracts with the Department of the Army to provide ICID (Infantry Combat Identification) targets utilizing the Company's proprietary Gradient Thermal technology. Other products in the development pipeline include MRL (Matrix Round Locator) systems, and SenseSuit wearable technology for live 'force-on-force' training and monitoring soldier location, coordination, and injury in actual combat.
John has lived in the Capital District for over 30 years. He has Engineering and MBA degrees from RPI, and served as a Naval Officer during the Vietnam War. He and his wife Connie currently reside in Niskayuna, NY. |

Bruce Hodge - President/CTO and Founder

Bruce Hodge has extensive experience in startups and has been awarded numerous patents in the technology field. A computer engineering graduate from CalPoly, San Luis Obispo, CA. with 20-plus years in the technology industry,. Bruce has spent years working in Silicon Valley for companies such as Northrop Aircraft Division, Cisco Systems, Synoptics, Divicom and Apple. His experience with technology startups includes work as a founder of IP Planet Earth, an Internet access box for televisions that was developed 3 years before WebTV and Pure Carbon, a Human Resources outsourcing ASP application that was founded with the former Director of HR at Cisco Systems. At the RPI Business Incubator in Troy, NY, Bruce founded DynaScript Technologies, Inc. which is based on a revolutionary new thin client language targeted for both web servers and wireless devices.
With Tech Valley Technologies, Inc., Bruce brings his vast knowledge and visionary approach to technology that is ahead-of-the-curve and focuses on futuristic applications for both sensing technologies and targeting systems. |

John Farfaglia - Founder and VP of Sales & Business Development

John Farfaglia brings more than 20 years of business development and sales experience to the Tech Valley Team. Mr. Farfaglia joined TVT from Synagro Technologies (formerly Wheelabrator Technologies) where he had performed the duties of Director of Business Development and was responsible for strategic planning, project development, and contract negotiation. Mr. Farfaglia is responsible for securing several major governmental contracts and growing TVT's business.

John Eramo - Founder and VP of Law Enforcement Sales & Field Service

John F. Eramo is presently the Owner/Instructor for J. Eramo Security Training Academy and HMS Consultants. Eramo retired as a Criminal Investigator with the NYS Office of the Deputy Inspector General, assigned to the Department of taxation and Finance where he performed the duties of a firearm instructor. Before that, he was employed as a Revenue Crimes Specialist with the NYS Department of Taxation and Finance, and a Sr. License Investigator with the NYS Department of State.
Eramo graduated from the State University of New York, Institute of Technology, with a B.S. in Business Administration and Public Management, and from Mohawk Valley Community College with an AAS degree.
John has completed training at the New York State Police Academy (Peace Officer Training), and received instruction in areas of Criminal Investigation, Organized Crime and H.I.D.T.A. Security Management, White Collar Crime and Firearms Instructor Courses.
He is licensed and certified as a Police/Peace Officer Instructor for general topics and firearms, and as a certified Security Guard School and Instructor. John has authored a State publication: Adopting Local Laws (1982) & Grantsmanship (1986), as well as an author of articles for Use of Force as applied to security issues. Presently John has produced a course on De-Escalation, the Alternative Weapon, a text for officers dealing with hostile subjects.
